THE PROGRAM
01

The DBX 707 program — what every owner asks for.

Every DBX 707 leaves PACMods with the same combination of work — full-front or full-body PPF (the high-impact panels take rock damage like any large SUV), color-matched grille and brow film against the factory paint code, optical-grade window tint to WA-compliant spec, and a multi-stage paint correction on the high-show surfaces. The program reads as one cohesive aesthetic, not three vendors’ worth of compromise.

02

Color-matched film against the Aston Martin paint palette.

Aston Martin paint codes — Stratus White, Eifel Green, Hyper Red, China Grey, Skyfall Silver, Q-Specification colours — are unusually unforgiving on imprecise colour-match film. We spectrophotometer-match every trim film against the factory code so the brow film, the grille surround, the badge surrounds, and the side-vent panels read OEM rather than aftermarket. The Q by Aston Martin Vehicles bespoke programs get the same treatment with the build sheet referenced at intake.

03

DB11, DB12, Vantage, DBS — the GT and sport programs.

The two-door GT cars run a different program than the DBX SUV — full-body PPF with edge-wrap on every panel transition, multi-stage paint correction before ceramic, and optical-grade window tint that doesn’t purple in PNW UV. The Vantage in particular benefits from a track-package coverage tier if the car sees Pacific Raceway or any of the local lapping days; DB12 and DBS coverage runs full-body as the default given the daily-driven-collector profile.

04

Light custom work — chrome delete, accent panels, badge film.

Most Aston Martin custom work coming through PACMods is OEM+ subtlety rather than aftermarket scope — chrome delete on the brightwork, accent-color film on the wheel surrounds, badge film, and the occasional hood vent or splitter modification. We don’t do body kit work on Aston Martin platforms unless the Q by Aston Martin program already has the panel — we treat the marque as a paint and finish program, not a fabrication program.

FAQ

Common questions. On Aston Martin.

Q/01Do you do DBX off-road accessory protection?
Yes — the high-impact panels on a DBX that sees gravel access or trailer use benefit from full-body PPF including the lower rocker and bumper panels. We also install matte-finish PPF for owners who want the visual change without committing to a paint refinish.
Q/02Color match on classic Aston Martin paint codes (V8 Vantage, DB9)?
Yes. Classic Aston colours — Solway Gray, Quantum Silver, Tungsten Silver, Toro Red — match cleanly with spectrophotometer references. We document the colour code at intake; if a vehicle was repainted out of factory spec we colour-match to the current surface, not the build sheet.
Q/03PPF on Q by Aston Martin Vehicles bespoke colours?
Yes. We reference the Q build sheet at intake, select the film tier appropriate to the finish (gloss, satin, or matte where applicable), and register the install with Ultrafit or XPEL for the 10-year manufacturer warranty in the owner’s name.
Q/04How long does paint protection film last?
Professionally installed Ultrafit paint protection film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and delamination. In Pacific Northwest conditions, the film typically performs well past the warranty window if washed correctly and not exposed to chemical contamination.
Q/05How much does PPF cost in Seattle?
Full-body PPF on a luxury or exotic vehicle at PACMods starts at the upper end of the Seattle market because we work exclusively with concours-grade Ultrafit film and back every install with a 10-year warranty. Partial coverage (front-end, track package, or high-impact areas) starts lower. Request a private estimate for a vehicle-specific quote.
Q/06What paint protection film do you install?
PACMods installs Ultrafit — a top-tier self-healing paint protection film with a 10-year warranty. It is optically clear, hydrophobic, and swirl-resistant; we select the coverage tier and finish (gloss or matte) per vehicle and intended use, from daily-driven streets to dedicated track time.
Q/07How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Payment is due on completion, before the vehicle leaves, unless the written quote says otherwise. A deposit may be required where the build needs parts we order in and those parts come to more than $500 — it covers the order, and it is set out on the written quote before any work starts. We do not bill insurance carriers, so the number on your written quote is the number you pay.
Q/08Do you work with insurance companies?
PACMods is an independent shop by intention and does not work with insurance carriers. We perform cosmetic and collision repair on a direct-pay basis for owners who want concours-quality work without the carrier-driven shortcuts that compromise luxury vehicles. We can help you understand what an insurance reimbursement might cover, but the work itself is between you and us.
