THE PROGRAM
01

Tesla PPF — why full-body matters more than full-front.

Tesla paint is softer than most luxury OEM paint systems — particularly on Solid Black, Deep Blue Metallic, and Stealth Grey — and shows swirl, scratch, and stone-chip damage faster than the equivalent BMW or Audi finish. A full-front package handles the highway zone but leaves the rear quarters, door blades, and rocker exposed to door-ding density that Tesla’s active urban use creates. Full-body is the recommendation on every Plaid, every Performance trim, and every Cybertruck we wrap.

02

Cybertruck — the program that doesn’t exist anywhere else.

The stainless steel exterior is its own surface category — not paint, not plastic, susceptible to fingerprints, watermarks, brake dust, and the kind of swirl that develops every time someone leans against the door panel. We run a Cybertruck-specific program: surface clarification under controlled lighting, PPF on the high-touch areas (handles, charge door, lower panels), and a ceramic system formulated for stainless rather than clear-coat. The wrap option is also available — full-colour vinyl wraps on Cybertruck are tractable and we’ve done them.

03

Model S Plaid, Model X, Model Y — the standard luxury PPF program.

Model S Plaid and refreshed Model S Long Range are the most frequent Tesla in our bay — full-body XPEL Ultimate Plus with track-spec coverage on the rocker and rear-arch zones. Model X and Y get the same program scaled to the body. Model 3 typically gets full-front with paint correction; full-body is available on owner request.

04

Eastside Tesla density and pickup logistics.

The Tesla density in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and Issaquah is among the highest in the country per capita. Most of our Tesla clients never see the shop — we collect the vehicle from the Eastside address, document its condition at pickup, and return it concours-clean against a signed handover sheet. Same approach for Seattle proper.

Dustin is the best! I accidentally messed up my car’s paint while trying to use touch-up paint, and it ended up looking terrible. I had no idea how to fix it until I found this shop. Dustin completely saved my car. He was very patient, easy to talk to, and took the time to explain everything. Not only was the turnaround fast, but the quality of his work was outstanding. I honestly didn’t expect the paint to come out looking this good. The repair looks flawless—I’d even say it looks better than the factory finish. I’m extremely happy with the results and the level of professionalism Dustin provided. I would definitely recommend him to all of my friends and anyone looking for high-quality paint repair work. Thank you, Dustin!

Dustin did an amazing professional job on the ppf and window tint for my tesla. After a rock chip day 1 of purchase I reached out to him and was contacted back in maybe 20 minutes. He gave an honest estimate, great price, reccomended a level of protection specific to the vehicle and even offered to touchup the chip prior to ppf. Dropped the car off on friday and had it back monday morning with factory matched front tint, windshield, and full frontal ppf. The edges are all perfectly hidden, the tint was flawless and after the service a complimentary towel and decals were left in the vehicle. I work in aerospace maintenance and worked as an automobile mechanic so I can confidently say I have seen top tier and bottom tier work. Dustin falls into the top tier category. He even reached out a few days later to ensure I was satisfied with the work. I highly recommend him for any vehicle maintenance, paint, ppf, tint, or custom build/modifications.

FAQ

Common questions. On Tesla.

Q/01Do you PPF or wrap a Cybertruck?
Both. PPF is recommended on the high-touch zones (handles, charge door, lower panels) plus a stainless-specific ceramic for the rest of the surface. Full-colour vinyl wraps are also installable — we’ve done them in matte black, satin grey, and several brand wraps. The bare stainless aesthetic with discrete PPF protection is the most-frequent program.
Q/02What is the best PPF for a Tesla Model S Plaid?
Full-body XPEL Ultimate Plus, with the tier chosen for colour and usage. Solid Black benefits from a thicker top-coat against swirl development; the lighter colours (Pearl White Multi-Coat, Stealth Grey) take any of our tiers equally well. We pick at the consult based on owner usage pattern, storage, and whether the car sees track or autocross days.
Q/03Can you correct Tesla paint?
Yes — and most Plaid and Performance trims arrive needing it. Tesla’s factory clear is thinner than most German luxury equivalents and shows swirls, holograms, and wash-induced micro-marring sooner. We run two-stage correction on most Tesla surfaces, finishing under sun-gun lighting before any ceramic or PPF goes on.
Q/04How long does paint protection film last?
Professionally installed Ultrafit paint protection film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and delamination. In Pacific Northwest conditions, the film typically performs well past the warranty window if washed correctly and not exposed to chemical contamination.
Q/05How much does PPF cost in Seattle?
Full-body PPF on a luxury or exotic vehicle at PACMods starts at the upper end of the Seattle market because we work exclusively with concours-grade Ultrafit film and back every install with a 10-year warranty. Partial coverage (front-end, track package, or high-impact areas) starts lower. Request a private estimate for a vehicle-specific quote.
Q/06What paint protection film do you install?
PACMods installs Ultrafit — a top-tier self-healing paint protection film with a 10-year warranty. It is optically clear, hydrophobic, and swirl-resistant; we select the coverage tier and finish (gloss or matte) per vehicle and intended use, from daily-driven streets to dedicated track time.
Q/07How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Payment is due on completion, before the vehicle leaves, unless the written quote says otherwise. A deposit may be required where the build needs parts we order in and those parts come to more than $500 — it covers the order, and it is set out on the written quote before any work starts. We do not bill insurance carriers, so the number on your written quote is the number you pay.
Q/08Do you work with insurance companies?
PACMods is an independent shop by intention and does not work with insurance carriers. We perform cosmetic and collision repair on a direct-pay basis for owners who want concours-quality work without the carrier-driven shortcuts that compromise luxury vehicles. We can help you understand what an insurance reimbursement might cover, but the work itself is between you and us.
