THE PROGRAM
01

Why Porsche owners choose PACMods.

The 911 platform across 991, 992, GT3, and Turbo variants is the single most-frequent car in our bay. Owners come to us because the Porsche-specific work — paint-code matching on Guards Red, Gentian Blue, Crayon, GT Silver, and Python Green; OEM-spec carbon orientation on GT-spec body panels; track-package PPF tiering for cars that see Pacific Raceway — is detail work most shops skim past. We don’t.

02

The 911 Carrera T case study.

Case 2025-014 is the Carrera T documented across the homepage case file — full-body XPEL Ultimate Plus, ceramic system overlay, window and headlight tint to WA-compliant spec, and a multi-stage paint correction on a 0-km delivery surface that arrived from the dealer with two transport-induced swirl events. The car left in better-than-delivery condition. The full timeline is on @dusty.build.

03

Porsche-specific PPF programs.

Full-front package covers the high-impact zone where Porsche bumpers, hoods, and fenders take the most abuse — sufficient for most daily-driven 911s and Caymans. Full-body adds the rest of the painted surface and is what 911 GT cars, Turbo S, and collector-spec cars deserve. Track packages add rockers, rear arches, and door blade extensions for cars that see lapping days at Pacific Raceway, ORP, or The Ridge. We register every install in the owner’s name with the manufacturer.

04

Marque-specific paint correction notes.

Porsche soft-clear paint codes — Guards Red, Speed Yellow, Python Green, GT Silver — show buffer trails and holograms easier than most paint systems and require finishing-polish discipline most volume shops skip. We run three-stage on every Porsche colour above intermediate-condition surface, finishing under both full-spectrum and sun-gun lighting before the surface is sealed.

FAQ

Common questions. On Porsche.

Q/01Do you work on every Porsche model?
Yes — 911 (all generations from 996 through 992 GT3 / Turbo S / Carrera T / Sport Classic), Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan, 718 Boxster / Cayman / Spyder / RS, and the older 944 / 928 / 968 platforms when they come through. The 911 is the most frequent. The Taycan PPF program is identical to a Tesla Model S in build approach, with the Porsche-specific paint-code notes applied.
Q/02Can you do PPF on a Porsche GT car for track use?
Yes. The track package adds rockers, door blade extensions, and rear-arch coverage to the standard full-body tier. We discuss film tier choice per car — a thicker top-coat for cars that see dedicated track surface, XPEL Ultimate Plus where street driving dominates with occasional lapping days.
Q/03Do you do Porsche custom builds?
Yes — Dusty’s @dusty.build documents the Porsche 911 builds in process at any time, including the GT3-spec splitter fabrication and the K24 engine bay swap series. Custom builds are quoted per car after a scoping consult.
Q/04How long does paint protection film last?
Professionally installed Ultrafit paint protection film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and delamination. In Pacific Northwest conditions, the film typically performs well past the warranty window if washed correctly and not exposed to chemical contamination.
Q/05How much does PPF cost in Seattle?
Full-body PPF on a luxury or exotic vehicle at PACMods starts at the upper end of the Seattle market because we work exclusively with concours-grade Ultrafit film and back every install with a 10-year warranty. Partial coverage (front-end, track package, or high-impact areas) starts lower. Request a private estimate for a vehicle-specific quote.
Q/06What paint protection film do you install?
PACMods installs Ultrafit — a top-tier self-healing paint protection film with a 10-year warranty. It is optically clear, hydrophobic, and swirl-resistant; we select the coverage tier and finish (gloss or matte) per vehicle and intended use, from daily-driven streets to dedicated track time.
Q/07How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Payment is due on completion, before the vehicle leaves, unless the written quote says otherwise. A deposit may be required where the build needs parts we order in and those parts come to more than $500 — it covers the order, and it is set out on the written quote before any work starts. We do not bill insurance carriers, so the number on your written quote is the number you pay.
Q/08Do you work with insurance companies?
PACMods is an independent shop by intention and does not work with insurance carriers. We perform cosmetic and collision repair on a direct-pay basis for owners who want concours-quality work without the carrier-driven shortcuts that compromise luxury vehicles. We can help you understand what an insurance reimbursement might cover, but the work itself is between you and us.
