PACMods uses optical-grade window films, Washington-state compliant headlight tint that preserves DOT light output, and reflector film that matches factory black-pack codes on every marque we touch. Turnaround is 1–3 days for most installs.
Washington allows 24% VLT (visible light transmission) on the front side windows and any darkness on the rear side and back windows for passenger vehicles. The front windshield permits a non-reflective strip down to the AS-1 line. We install to spec and document the install with film type, lot number, and VLT for every panel. Medical exemption installs are honoured with the appropriate documentation.
Washington law prohibits any treatment that drops headlight output below DOT-mandated thresholds. We install optical-grade headlight PPF that delivers the smoked appearance owners are looking for while keeping light output above the legal floor. Same approach for fog lamps and reflectors. Every install ships with the manufacturer photometry data on file.
Tail-light film, reflector tint, color-matched grilles, and OEM-spec black-pack film on hood vents, mirror caps, and badge surrounds. We match to the factory paint code via spectrophotometer where the film meets paint, so the boundary reads OEM rather than aftermarket.
Bargain film purples in 12–18 months, telegraphs heat-soak distortion across the back glass on a hot day, and delaminates at the edges first. Optical-grade film holds its colour fidelity for the full warranty window, doesn’t affect rear-camera or radar visibility, and edge-wraps cleanly under door rubber. We carry one tier of film.
