THE BAY
01

Why Seattle owners drive (or don’t) to Monroe.

PACMods sits 35 minutes north of downtown Seattle. Most of our Seattle clients never make that drive — we collect the vehicle from Belltown, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Magnolia, or the U-District, document its condition at pickup, and return it concours-clean. The shop is the value; the logistics are how we make sure the shop is reachable.

02

Choosing a film tier for Seattle conditions.

Seattle PPF lives a different life than PPF in Phoenix. The threat is not UV — it is chemical contamination from rain that arrives with a week of road salt and brake dust dissolved into it. Ultrafit and XPEL both handle PNW chemistry well; what separates a lasting install from a failing one here is the coverage tier and edge-wrap discipline, not the badge on the roll. We pick per car.

03

Coverage tiers — full-body, full-front, track package.

Full-body PPF on a luxury or exotic vehicle starts at the upper end of the Seattle market — concours-grade material and the 10-year manufacturer warranty are what the number is paying for. Front-end packages start materially lower and cover the high-impact zone (bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, headlight surrounds). Track packages add rockers and rear arches. We quote per car after an in-bay assessment.

Marques we PPF in Seattle: Porsche, Tesla, Rivian, BMW M, G-Wagon.

Our Seattle book skews Porsche (911 across generations, Cayenne, Macan), Tesla (Model S Plaid, Model X, Model Y, Cybertruck), Rivian (R1S, R1T), BMW M (M3, M4, M5), and Mercedes G-Wagon (W463A). Each has a marque page with the specific PPF program, paint-code notes, and the gallery of recent work.

FAQ

Common questions. From Seattle.

Q/01Do you have a Seattle shop?
No — and that’s intentional. The bay is in Monroe, 35 minutes north. The economics that come with a Seattle storefront (commercial rent, volume throughput) are not the economics that produce concours-grade work. Pickup and delivery to and from Seattle is complimentary and keeps the shop overhead where the value is — in the bay, not the address.
Q/02How does Seattle pickup and delivery work?
We collect the vehicle from your Seattle address (Belltown, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Magnolia, U-District, anywhere in the city), document its condition with photos and paint-gauge readings before transport, and return it concours-clean against a signed handover sheet. No timed-out drop-offs, no loaner-coordination friction, no I-5 commute on your time.
Q/03Why not just use a Seattle PPF shop?
Several reputable Seattle shops do good work. The PACMods difference is in the program, not the geography — both Ultrafit and XPEL installer status (most Seattle shops carry one), 10-year manufacturer warranty registered in your name, multi-stage paint correction included in every full-body install if the surface needs it, and zero carrier-driven shortcuts on any cosmetic work that comes through the same bay.
Q/04How long does paint protection film last?
Professionally installed Ultrafit paint protection film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and delamination. In Pacific Northwest conditions, the film typically performs well past the warranty window if washed correctly and not exposed to chemical contamination.
Q/05How much does PPF cost in Seattle?
Full-body PPF on a luxury or exotic vehicle at PACMods starts at the upper end of the Seattle market because we work exclusively with concours-grade Ultrafit film and back every install with a 10-year warranty. Partial coverage (front-end, track package, or high-impact areas) starts lower. Request a private estimate for a vehicle-specific quote.
Q/06What paint protection film do you install?
PACMods installs Ultrafit — a top-tier self-healing paint protection film with a 10-year warranty. It is optically clear, hydrophobic, and swirl-resistant; we select the coverage tier and finish (gloss or matte) per vehicle and intended use, from daily-driven streets to dedicated track time.
Q/07How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Payment is due on completion, before the vehicle leaves, unless the written quote says otherwise. A deposit may be required where the build needs parts we order in and those parts come to more than $500 — it covers the order, and it is set out on the written quote before any work starts. We do not bill insurance carriers, so the number on your written quote is the number you pay.
Q/08Do you work with insurance companies?
PACMods is an independent shop by intention and does not work with insurance carriers. We perform cosmetic and collision repair on a direct-pay basis for owners who want concours-quality work without the carrier-driven shortcuts that compromise luxury vehicles. We can help you understand what an insurance reimbursement might cover, but the work itself is between you and us.
